Dance Moves offers dance lessons for everyone from beginners to advanced dancers, and from children to adults at Kirkkonummi. We have a broad selection of classes including interesting novelties every autumn. Explore our selection and find your very own class!

The organisation behind Dance Moves is Kirkkonummen Tanssiyhdistys ry – we have started at 1984, and we’re offering dance classes with over 40 years of experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which level is suitabale for me or my child?

Every type of dance has level descriptions, which helps you to choose the right level. You can also test the class and change to a different level if it feels too easy/hard. Our staff and teachers are happy to help with choosing the right level.

Can I test the classes before committing?

Yes, you can test the class two times without charge before committing to it. After the two test visits you need to register via the link found on our website. Test visits do not apply to camps, workshops and short courses.

When can I test the classes?

You can test the classes basically at any time. The two last weeks of each semester we do not take new students and testers to classes because during those weeks the groups are preparing the pieces for the show ending the semester.

Do I register just for one semester or for the whole year?

In the autumn you register for the whole year, meaning that you do not have to register separately for the spring semester. If you decide to discontinue after the autumn semester you need to notify this to Dance Moves by email before the spring semester begins.

Can I start in the middle of semester?

Yes, you can start classes in the middle of semester.

If I start in the middle of semester do I need to pay the whole fee?

If you start in the middle of semester or the end half of it, we will adapt the fee according to the lessons left. The adaption of the course fee does not apply to camps, workshops or short courses.

Can I pay with ePassi, Edenred or some similar method?

Yes, you can pay the course fee for your won courses with for example ePassi. The instructios for paying with them you can find at each service providers web site. Please note, that you can not pay your childs fee with your own ePassi or similar method.

How can I reach the teacher?

Part of our teachers create a whatssapp group for students and/or/parents. If there is no such group, you reach the teacher by sending us email – we’ll forward your message to the teacher.

Do I need to inform if I’m absent from classes?

Yes, it’s good to inform the teacher in the whatsapp group or us by email if your absent. Email messages will be forwarded to the teacher.

If I discontinue mid semester do I get refund of course fee?

We do not refund the course fee/part of it if you decide to discontinue during the semester. If the student is forced to be absent for long periods of time during the semester, the refund must be negotiated with the board of Dance Moves. If the student discontinues the course, the fee is refunded only if there is a doctor’s certificate indicating the reason for discontinuation. Dance Moves will deduct a 10 € office fee of the refund.

Do I need an insurance?

Yes and no. All our students are insured during the classes and end of semester shows. The insurance is not valid for competing groups of cheerleading, and they should get their own insurance. The insurance can be obtained from your own insurance company or with the cheerleading lisence.

When do I need to pay the course fee?

We will invoice all course and membership fees when the semester has started, and will send the invoices by email unless you have chosen an invoice by letter. You can pay the invoice in up to three parts if you have chosen this option when registrating.

I can not find the invoice or I have received a reminder of the invoice – what do I do?

We send the invoices by email or by mail according to your choice. If you can not find the invoice in your email, please check the junk mail. The sender in the invoice emails is Maventa Transactions. You can also find your invoices in Hobiver when signing in to it. If you get a reminder, please pay your invoice as soon as possible. We will transfer the unpaid invoices to Visma Amili Oy shortly after the text message reminder. If you have allready paid the invoice please contact us by email at kirkkonummen.tanssiyhdistys@gmail.com.
